On July 24, 2008 at 6:54 PM the Chestertown Fire Department responded to a call for a report of trees down and power lines.  Upon arrival of units multiple trees were found on a vehicle, into a house, and around a small area on Schroon River Road.  Under the direction of 1^st Asst Chief Crossman members stood by and assisted with the homeowner securing the property and stood by until the arrival of National Grid.
