Brush Fire
On April 28th at approximately 4 PM the Chestertown Fire Department was dispatched to an unknown smoke condition off of Route 8 in Look Lake. Upon arrival of Assistant Chiefs Bartlett and Harvey a large working grass and brush fire was located off of the Niagara Mohawk power line. Extremely dry conditions and high winds spread the flames to an area encompassing approximately 10 acres. Mutual aid was received from the Horicon and Riverside Fire Department.
